The new rules of lifting for ABS one is the most informative and helpful books that I had the pleasure to read fitness probably. I have come across the previous new rules of lifting books but never had the opportunity to learn. All of them are written by Lou Schuler and Alwyn Cosgrove.
Lou Schuler a certified strength and conditioning is focused specialist and author of five popular books on nutrition and weight training. He is also the former Director of men's health magazine, and appeared on dozens of national television programs such as the CBS early show and Fox midday news.
Alwyn Cosgrove is a personal trainer and owner of results fitness in Santa Clarita, California. He also coached Olympic and national athletes as well and top amateurs in sports such as boxing, mixed martial arts, soccer, bodybuilding and more.
It is natural to assume that a book on abs would include information about how to perform crunches. Forget now, crunches here. The authors explain why crunches really can exacerbate problems for your back and neck. Instead of crunches to focus, circle the exercises in this book core stability and endurance. Learn more about your core muscles, and why work more for your abs is in an effective manner as focus exercises like crunches and sit-ups.
Not only will perform no crunches, you just need to train three hours per week. However, don't think that there is some simple routine, because these are full-body workouts, and you probably a full day of rest in between each workout. The program consists of a four-part workout include:
Dynamic warm UpCore training (increased stability, endurance and strength) strength training TrainingMetabolic (heart)The great thing about the exercises in this book is that it both home-friendly and can be done in the gym. Necessary equipment is affordable and the authors offer cost-effective alternatives if you don't want to buy what you recommend. Some recommended equipment include stability ball, barbell free weights, elastic bands and kettlebells.
The authors clearly that is not this book for bodybuilders and Powerlifter high-level athletes. If you are looking to lose fat with intense workouts and learning about proper nutrition to go with it, you get much from this book.
